Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Yusuf (1952-2015) was a prominent Uzbek Islamic scholar, Quranic exegete, and theologian. Born in Uzbekistan, he received education in Islamic sciences in Tashkent and Libya. In his youth, Sheikh Muhammad Sadiq studied fiqh, hadith, and tafsir under leading Islamic scholars. His main work, "Tafsir Hilal," is considered one of the most authoritative modern Quranic exegeses intended for a wide audience. He authored more than 100 books covering important aspects of Islam, including tafsir, fiqh, and aqidah. He also initiated and supervised a large-scale project for the academic publication of "Oltin silsila," which includes nine of the most authoritative hadith collections recognized in the Islamic world.
