তসলিমা নাসরিন বাংলাদেশের বহুল আলোচিত ও বিতর্কিত নারীবাদী সাহিত্যিক। তাঁর রচনাসমূহের মধ্যে লজ্জা, আমার মেয়েবেলা, দ্বিখণ্ডিত, গোল্লাছুট, ইত্যাদি উল্লেখযোগ্য।

তাঁর প্রকৃত নাম নাসরিন জাহান তসলিমা। স্কুল জীবনে কবিতা চর্চ্চার সময় তিনি 'তসলিমা নাসরিন' নাম গ্রহণ করেন। ১৯৬২ খ্রিস্টাব্দে ময়মনসিংহ শহরে তাঁর জন্ম। দুই ভাই দুই বোনের মধ্যে তিনি তৃতীয়। তাঁর পিতা রজব আলী পেশায় চিকিৎসক ছিলেন। মা ইদুল আরা সাধারণ ধর্মভীরু বাঙ্গালী গৃহিনী, তসলিমার পিতার দ্বিতীয় স্ত্রী। । ১৯৭৬ খ্রিস্টাব্দে তিনি ময়মনসিংহ রেসিডেন্সিয়াল স্কুল থেকে এস, এস, সি পাস করেন। ১৯৭৮ খ্রিস্টাব্দে তিনি আনন্দ মোহন কলেজ থেকে এইচ এস সি পাস করেন। এরপর তিনি ময়মনসিংহ মেডিক্যাল কলেজে ভর্তি হন এবং সেখান থেকে ১৯৮৬ খ্রিস্টাব্দে এম বি বি এস পাস করেন। অথঃপর তিনি সরকারী হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসকের চাকুরী গ্রহণ করেন।

সাহিত্যে জগতে প্রবেশ সত্তর দশকের শেষভাগে কবিতা লেখার মধ্য দিয়ে। ১৯৮১ খ্রিস্টাব্দে স্ব-উদ্যোগে প্রথম কবিতা সংকলন প্রকাশ করেন যার নাম শিকড়ে বিপুল ক্ষুধা। তাঁর কবিতা গীতিময়তায় পুষ্ট। আত্মজৈবনিকতা তাঁর কবিতার বৈশিষ্ট্য। প্রথম থেকেই তাঁর কবিতায় যৌনানুষঙ্গ প্রবলভাবে উপস্থিত, যা পরবর্তীতে তাঁর গদ্য রচনাতেও পরিদৃষ্ট হয়।

Taslima Nasrin (also Taslima Nasreen, born 25 August 1962) is a Bangladeshi author and former physician who has been living in exile [1] since 1994. From a literary profile as a poet in the late 1970s, she rose to global attention by the beginning of 1990s owing to her essays and novels with feminist views and criticism of all "misogynistic" religions including Islam.

She advocates freedom of thought and human rights by publishing, lecturing, and campaigning.[4] She has been unable to return either to her home in Bangladesh or to her adopted home of West Bengal, India .[5]

She received numerous awards for her work.
