She was Maxim's cover girl for the August 2017 issue, is a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Rookie for 2018, and has 11.8 million followers on Instagram.She is also a New York Times Best Selling author with her book, Alexis Ren: My Secret to Success - Before Rich and Famous

Ren was home-schooled and the third oldest of five siblings.[citation needed] She is of Serbian, Irish and German descent. She grew up in Santa Monica, and spent time living in Tokyo when she was 14.

Ren appeared in a series of advertisements for the mobile game, Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire.

She launched an activewear line called Ren Active.
