Axon provides a tool for the mobile collection of structured data for the asset management of overhead lines and structures. Future versions will also progressively enable remote measurement and analysis features for overhead line conductors and structures. These are features which have previously only been available on our legacy android app, LineSmarts. Axon is a tool created for people who work with overhead electricity transmission and distribution lines.

The Axon app is designed to work for organisations as a cloud connected system. The system has built-in data quality control processes.

Axon currently supports the collection of:

• Failure data

• Defect data

The purpose of the failure data collection is to collect data relating to asset failures in the field as part of a fault response. The collected data is structured to provide a general root cause analysis, optimised for the electricity industry. Collecting this data will allow electricity utilities to significantly improve this capacity to learn from failures, identify improvement opportunities and improve communications between field staff and engineering business functions.

The purpose of the defect data collection is to provide an auditable systematic means of recording, communicating and managing network defects.

Our goal is to provide practical solutions to anyone working with overhead electricity distribution or transmission lines including; engineers, overhead line designers, condition assessors, project managers, construction linemen, faults linemen and maintenance linesmen.
