BENJAMIN FRANKLIN

Benjamin Franklin était un père fondateur des États-Unis.

He was a leading writer, printer, political philosopher, politician, Freemason, postmaster, scientist, inventor, humorist, civic activist, statesman, and diplomat who was also a polymath.

For his findings and views about electricity, he was an important player in the American Enlightenment and the history of physics as a scientist. He is most renowned for his innovations like as the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove.  

He established a number of municipal institutions, including the Library Company, Philadelphia's first fire department, and the University of Pennsylvania.

On January 17, 1706, Benjamin Franklin was born on Milk Street in Boston, Massachusetts, and baptised at Old South Meeting House. Franklin remembers being "usually the leader among the lads" as a child growing up around the Charles River.......
