Always wanted to fight monsters, but prefer the calming pace of a minimalist puzzle game? Well then, look no further than Block Night, the latest title from Last Minute Games.

The concept of the game is simple, harnessing all the fun of a block based puzzle game, and using it to fend off menacing monsters. You’ve got a 10X10 board, atop which sits your monster-enemy. Begin placing your pieces, appearing in threes, on the board to form rows and columns. Each row or column you create will clear, and deal damage to the monster. The more you clear at once, the more damage you’ll deal. Keep placing and clearing until you destroy the monster’s health completely - then you move on to the next level.

But keep an eye on your health - every few moves, the monster will try and attack you, and you will lose health. So be as efficient as possible - the more moves you take to pass a level, the more times the monster will deal damage to your health. Make sure to keep an eye out for health blocks on the board - clear those, and you’ll regain health. But run out of health points, and that’s game over.
