Culture Dock is a free video and photo-sharing social media app that engages locals and travelers alike for the sole purpose of facilitating cultural awareness and understanding in regions around the globe. Users upload and explore content through cultural channels specific to their area of interest and can either prompt or supply further information through the app’s tourist information button. The “My Dock” feature offers a resource where users can refer to bookmarked content, content from those they’re following and their own library of personal uploads. The in-app camera seamlessly assists users as they add to this interactive, “living” guidebook while the messenger function, allows for them to connect privately with fellow travellers. Culture Dock is being prepared to become the go-to app for cultural tourism.
