Ecocity 2017

The 2017 ECOCITY World Summit will take place in Melbourne from 12-14 July.

The ECOCITY World Summit addresses the way humanity builds its home — its cities, towns and villages.

The series focuses on key actions cities and citizens can take to rebuild our human habitat in balance with living systems, and, in the process, slow down and even reverse global heating, biodiversity collapse, loss of wilderness habitat, agricultural lands and open space, and social and environmental injustices.

This world-renowned series was first held in Berkeley California in 1990 and has since been hosted by cities in Australia, Senegal, Brazil, China, India, California, Turkey, Canada, and France.
