Put eight queens of chess on the board, such that they do not attack each other.

Solve the well-known eight queens puzzle. Place eight queens on a standard checkerboard, such that they are not attacking each other. They attac in horizontal and vertical direction and along the diagonals. There are several different solutions - try to find them all !

First, you begin with the much easier problem of four queens on a board with 4x4 fields. Then you go on to larger sizes. To solve them you need some patience. This will train your geometrical and logical thinking. This app proposes additional puzzles and computer programming projects.
