Lotus Kitchen is a small family-owned restaurant in Älmhult started in Winter 2017 by Rajani Polagani, who is not originally from Älmhult but ended up in town when she is looking for a suitable town to open a restaurant. Älmhult is appeared as suitable venue and there is no Indian restaurant in the town. As it is the first Indian restaurant, it was obviously nervous at the start but Älmhult is very welcoming and seems like pleased that at last there is an Indian restaurant in town! Many ask what the name Lotus Kitchen means, and it is not quite easy to translate but we make an effort. The lotus flower is having significant importance since the Sacred Lotus Padma is associated with several gods in India such as Vishnu, Brahma, Kubera, Lakshmi and Saraswati.
