Application Android Kalam-e-Saaien

The Sufi poet of Peshawar who is considered as the Ghalib of Hindko, Ahmad Ali Saaien was born in 1842 and breathed his last on 23rd, Apr 1937. His father Mirza Noor Ali Khan Sherazi belonged to a middle class family of Peshawar and lived in the walled city of Peshawar.

Kalam-e-Saaien Android App is an interactive App that provides the users with the facility of searching a Saaien’s poetry using its Topic called “Maozu” in Hindko. An interesting feature of the app is that it allows user to select his favorite pieces of Hindko poetry.

The Kalam-e-Saaien Android App is a project of Gandhara Hindko Academy which is a Public-Private partnership project. Its funding agency is Higher Education Department of Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gandhara Hindko Board, Peshawar is its executing agency. Mr. Ejaz Ahmad Qureshi (Former Chief Secretary of KP) is the Chairman of Gandhara Hindko Board, Peshawar.

The project “Kalaam-e-Saaien Android App” boosted got completed under the supervision of Mr. Muhammad Zia-ud-Din (General Secretary Gandhara Hindko Board).

Dr. Muhammad Adil presented the idea of the interactive app Kalam-e-Saaien and proposed a soft ware design for the App.

For the data set the collection of Saaien’s poetry from the book “Ganjeena-e-Saaien” by Ali Awais Kheyal is selected. There are around one thousand poetry pieces in the form of Harfi and Zanjeeri.

Mr. Omer Rauf designed the database for the App and took responsibility of an overall management of software project completion.

Mr. Muhammad Fawad has designed the code and the front end of the App.

As the data for the App was in Inpage format which is not Unicode so, Mr. Muhammad Aqil recomposed the entire data in Unicode format.

Mr. Ali Awais Khayal has designed the logo and images for the App.

This App is a sole property of Gandhara Hindko Board.
