Augmented Reality App to navigate the Tecnodidattica Globe

GlobeARound to Constellation is an Augmented Reality app to navigate the Tecnodidattica Globe through your Smartphone and discover many interactive and multimedia contents relating to the Starry Sky, the Constellations and numerous astronomical objects such as double stars, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies.

By framing the sphere of the globe with your device's camera, it is possible to view, in Augmented Reality and therefore superimposed on the globe, the characters of the most important constellations, with the 3D localization of the most interesting astronomical objects that characterize the individual constellations.

With a simple touch of the finger you can interactively select and view individual elements, view images and in-depth information.

They are contained in the app:

- 20 characters relating to as many astronomical constellations, floating in 3D and viewable in AR overlaid on the stellar cartography present on the world map in "night" mode;

- 20 descriptive text cards, containing general information on the constellation, on the history and mythology of the character represented, on the main stars and celestial objects present within the constellation, as well as indications on how to identify them in the sky;

- over 40 3D objects, positioned in AR on the stellar globe, representing astronomical objects such as star clusters, nebulae and galaxies, each accompanied by explanatory photographic images, created with the most powerful telescopes;

- 4 in-depth 3D films on Astronomical Geography: the earth's rotation and revolution motions, the astronomical seasons, the motion of the Moon around the Earth and the lunar phases, time zones and time differences on the globe.

In addition to the Augmented Reality navigation mode, the interactive contents can also be used through a simple interactive 3D interface, with just a few touches of the fingers.

How does it work:

- Download the GlobeAR App via QR Code or link to the Online Store;

In AR mode:

- Use the app in a dark room and turn on the globe

- Choose a constellation

- Frame the chosen constellation on the world map;

- Tap on the lens icon next to each constellation for further information.

In 3d mode:

- Using the 3D interface, choose the constellation to view;

- Proceed as in the AR version.
