À propos de Green Bangladesh

Amitié avec l'environnement

Green Bangladesh is an online based platform which connects the social media users. It began the journey with some likeminded people — putting forward topics like urban gardening, minimizing air pollution, creating alternative food sources and combating the diverse effects of global warming from local level.

Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University Horticulture Department Professor Dr AFM Jamal Uddin has been facilitating the group since Assistant Secretary of Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat Abm Billal Hossain introduced it. Md Nazmul Islam has been providing the technical and IT support along with a bunch of greens in their respective rector — Rokeya Islam, Rebeka Sultana Bintee, Nasim Ahmed Jewel and Mahbubul Islam.

The group is gaining popularity as they are kind enough in providing relentless advices and suggestions.

Our Target

Green Bangladesh is working to make the divisional cities of Bangladesh as well as the capital Dhaka greener, nicer and healthier places to live in. Dhaka currently has almost all the attributes an urban space requires. However, to meet the necessities of the ever growing population and keeping pace with rapid urbanization, the city has been witnessing unplanned of infrastructural development.

The unplanned development has sidelined the greeneries, and the dwellers have lost the minimum healthy atmosphere a city requires. Choked by multiple sources of contamination, Dhaka has apparently become a city of pollution. The polluted environment is affecting the Dhakaites both physically and mentally — approaching slowing but surely towards an uncertain future. The only alternative is to step in to save Dhaka, which isn’t possible for the government alone. Social movement of the people ensured by simultaneous participation is the only solution left. Green Bangladesh, with the understanding and spirit, is working to save the city as well as the country. We believe that combined effort only can make Dhaka greener. Also we are working to make the internet greener, Safe internet is becoming a assencial fector in social medial users. Its time to make internet safe and green to chieldren and societies.
