Jack Ma (born Ma Yun, Chinese: 马云; born 10 September 1964) is a Chinese politician, businessman, investor, and philanthropist. He is the co-founder and executive chair of the Alibaba Group, a multinational technology conglomerate. As of January 2019, he is one of China's richest men with a net worth of $39.1 billion, as well as one of the wealthiest people in the world. Ma is a strong proponent of an open and market-driven economy.
