The Jaziel Brothers is a music duo from South Africa. It is made up of Luthando Ngcizela & Ntobeko Ngcizela. They were born in the Eastern Cape, grew up in Klerksdorp and now live in Johannesburg.

The multi talented duo were born and raised in a God fearing family and started singing in church when they were 6/7years old. It is only when they got to high school that they changed to RnB, fusing it with a bit of pop here and there. It was only natural that they went on to study Music Technology after high school, thereby confirming that music was the only place they could truly express themselves.

During their 3 years at Eastside College, Ntobeko and Luthando got to meet and work with musos such as Sy Ntuli and Bheki Khoza, winning several singing competitions and awards along the way.

When they finished their diploma in 2002, they looked for work but there was nothing available for newly qualified sound engineers so they left cruel & cold Jo’burg, went back home to Klerksdorp and started selling meat to make ends meet.

Just as the meat business was starting to show growth, they got a call from Guffy and before they could say “what contract?” the duo were signed under Guffy’s label.

Their excitement was short lived though - despite being under contract, no album was released under the label. Strangely they are not bitter about the 2 yearwait - they believe that God meant for it to happen. During this time they learnt more about production and just how difficult it is to make it in the music industry.

The wait also gave them the opportunity to produce music for the likes of Lesego, Garth Taylor, Jub Jub, Malini and most recently Kelly Khumalo. They produced 3 songs for Kelly’s latest album “Siyajabula”…including the single Ilobola.

Ntobeko and Luthando produced Lesego’s SAMA award winning album My Music and their vocals featured prominently hit song “Africa Viva Tau”. They also worked on “KE TSHEPILE WENA”, Jub Jub’s “NDIKHOKHELE”.

They were also fortunate enough to release a family project with their siblings and cousins entitled “Amaxesibe”. They admit that it did not do well because they did not know what they know now about marketing
