He is known as the world master of guitar, Joseph "Joe" Satriani or "Satch" was born in Westbury, New York, on July 15, 1956.

In 1974 Satriani studied music with Jazz guitarist Billy Bauer and with a lone jazz pianist Lennie Tristano. Tristano's technical demands greatly affected Satriani's game.
