Kebe, as she's known (for her initials: Kristine Elizabeth BernadettaElezaj), was discovered by the famous duo Ashford & Simpson while belting out the legendary Aretha Franklin hit "Respect" at the Sugar Bar in New York City. Today she's earned plenty of her own R-E-S-P-E-C-T with her new album, "Loved By You," which channels her raw inner vulnerability into powerful urban-influenced pop anthems.

Like her influences, Elezaj offers a complex mix of hard and soft, both personally and musically. "There's a real yin and yang to my personality where I can be very quiet and introspective but then very fiery and outspoken," she says, and it shows in "Loved By You.” "Monster" burns up your ears with a blast of female empowerment, while "Make It Pour" and "Sucker Punch" tells the world she can stand strong on her own.
