Lasagna is a quintessential and world famous Italian dish consisting of alternating layers of pasta, meat, vegetables, pasta sauce and cheese. The classic lasagna, if such a dish can be said to exist, is based on a meat and tomato ragu and a bechamel sauce. These are layered between sheets of pasta dough (two or three layers for a lasagna) in an oven dish, covered with cheese (usually parmesan or mozzarella) and baked in the oven for about half an hour.

To prepare lasagna recipes it is advisable to use those noodles that stand well for extended cooking period. The real secret of such recipe is actually in its cooking mechanism. When you put different items in layer, they are staffed together. After giving heat to the pot, these items start to get baked, cooked and melted. So the flavor of each item gets stuck within the layers. And the cooked items at some point get attached with other items used in the recipe.
