Go Lucid Pro detects REM-stages by using the device's sensors. It tracks your movement and your behaviour, while dreaming. When you are currently sleeping in a REM-stage, your phone will vibrate and/or play a ringtone to induce Lucid Dreams.

While sleeping, your thalamus (a part of your brain) collects outer stimuli like sound and those arousals will become a a part of your dream.

If you see a loud train while sleeping, this may be caused by the app and if this becomes a repetitive pattern, you will figure out you are dreaming while dreaming.

After you woke up, you see a chart of your movement while dreaming and you can make a note in a dream diary.
