Surah Yusuf is the 12th Surah in the Qur'an. This chapter consists of 111 verses and belongs to the Makkiyah surah. This sura is called the sura of Joseph because of the gravity of its contents concerning the history of the Prophet Joseph. The narrative is one of the mythical stories revealed to the Prophet Muhammad as a miracle to him, while he was before he was revealed this sura does not know it. According to the history of Al Baihaqi in Ad-Dalail that a group of Jews converted to Islam after they heard this story of Joseph, because it corresponds to the stories they know. From this story of Joseph, the Prophet Muhammad took many lessons and was an entertainer against him in carrying out his duties.

Maryam's letter consists of 98 verses, a letter Makkiyyah because almost all the verses were revealed in Mecca. It is named after Maryam because it contains the story of Maryam, the mother of Prophet Isa alaihisalam the most famous story of this letter is about Maryam who gave birth to Jesus without ever being interfered with by a man (but Jibril blew his spirit).
