The National Youth Service (NYS) is the pride and backbone of our nation whose focus has been to help the youth discover and develop their potential since 1964.

H.E. The President of the Republic of Kenya, Uhuru Kenyatta decided to re-launch the program in 2013 as a way of connecting with and encouraging young people to seek vocation considering that they are the future of our Nation.

NYS is bigger and better this time around allowing for more recruits – we are now looking to take over 20,000 from the original 4000. This means that you, you, and even YOU can join us and share in the joy of being a part of something that’s bigger than yourself – your COUNTRY.

The National Youth Service is a government department established by an Act of Parliament (Cap 208 Laws of Kenya) on 1st September 1964.
