Inspired. Before you draw a single line, in consultation with the architect, or buy a new software application that is cool to be doing everything, consider your dreams. At the beginning of this process, it's not about foot boards, or setbacks or even the floor plan. It's about how you define your wishes. Many of you will already know-that's your dream, after all!

Taking a photo. Shoot every corner of the building you like, inside and out. You will find more detail in the photo than you see in person, and after visiting dozens of homes, they would be a great way to remember that you love right at the beginning.
