Rummy Show

Number of players: two to five. Six players can also play, but this will reduce the number of cards played.

Goal: When your score of useless or mismatched cards is lower than your opponent's, touch the card and end the game.

The game is played with a deck of regular cards containing 52 cards. ace is the small card.

Deal: If there are two players, 10 cards are dealt to each player. If there are three or four players, seven cards are dealt to each player. If there are five or six players, six cards are dealt to each player.

Deck: A deck consists of a group of three or more cards with the same number of points or a flush of three or more cards.

Rules: Rummy is similar to Gin Rummy, except that the player does not have to complete the gin to stop the game.

Players can touch (tap on the table and say "touch"). Unlike gin rummy, the player does not have to have less than 10 points in useless cards. After drawing the top card of the reserve pile or discarding the top card of the pile and before playing, the player may touch the card. After that, the player who touched the card plays it and all players reveal their cards, separating the deck from the unmatched cards. No cards are added.

Scoring rules: If you touch and have the lowest score of useless cards, you will win the score difference from all other players. If you touch and complete a rummy (i.e. all your cards form a deck), you earn the difference in points and 25 bonus points from each opponent. If you touch and one opponent has the same number of useless cards as you, that opponent wins the point spread from the other players. If more than one opponent has the same number of useless cards as yours, they share the difference equally. If you touch and one or more opponents have fewer useless tiles than you, the opponent with the lowest score gets the difference from each player. If they have the same score, they share the difference equally. Each opponent who has fewer useless cards than you also receives a penalty score of 10 points from you. Before the first game begins, players determine the number of points needed to win the game.
