We are happy to inform you that a new initiative is being planned by Initiative for Moral and Cultural Training Foundation [IMCTF] to organise mass Thematic Yoga in which 10,000 Students from educational institutions will be participating to highlight and propagate the six fundamental themes of IMCTF concept–namely,

1. Conserve Forests and Protect Wildlife

2. Preserve Ecology

3. Sustain Environment

4. Inculcate Family and Human Values

5. Foster Women’s Honor

6. Instill Patriotism

The event is being organised as curtain raised for the 8th Hindu Spiritual & Service Fair 2016 which is being held from Aug 2 & Aug 8th 2016 at AM Jain Collage at Meenambakkam Chennai.

To align with the six concepts of IMCTF, we have chosen these yogasanas in which the six themes manifest and named it as “Sri Krishna Yogathon-Thematic Yoga”. This innovative effort to link yogasanas to the six themes makes yoga and exposition of contemporary issues of national and global relevance and not an individual practioness or sadhakas affair.

As you are aware, Srimad Bhagavat Gita consists of eighteen chapters which specifies various Yogas that influenced the mind of confused Arjuna to get clarity-ultimately.

We have networked various Yoga institutions led by many eminent “Yoga Masters” in this endeavour. The Asanas will be performed by the youth connecting the six themes of IMCTF.

Young executives from leading corporate are also participating in the programme.

Educational institutions like Padma Seshadri Balabhavan Group of Schools, Rajaji Vidyashram; Vels Group of Schools, Dayananda Anglo Vedic Group of Schools, DAV Arya Samaj Educational Society, Vivekananda Educational Society, Maharishi Group of Schools and Chinmaya Group of Schools and others are taking part in Sri Krishna Yogathon-Thematic Yoga.

Yoga institutions like Pathanjali Yoga Peeth, Art of living, Isha Yoga, Bihar School of Yoga (Sathyananda Yoga) and others also taking part in this mega event.

Students from various colleges will also be participating in the Sri Krishna Yogathon-Thematic Yoga programme.

There is also a suggestion that the participants may be dressed in White and White. This innovative thematic event will be widely covered by the print and visual media.

We request you to depute your Yoga / PET teacher/ yoga institution as your institution’s representative to be a part of the team to organise this great event.
