Swipe gallery of pictures from the Selle Street Vendor Photography Collection

This swipe gallery for mobile devices displays selections from the Joseph Selle Collection of Street Vendor Photography : a collection of over one-million images housed at the Visual Studies Workshop, Rochester, NY. The digitized images are downloaded from the wonderful site* created and maintained by Andrew Eskind. Andy began working with the collection in 2003 and since then has guided the digitization of many thousands of the original negatives on long rolls. From these images, a number of remarkable creative projects have arisen: exhibitions co-curated by Andy, experimental film installations by Dave Mount, and bookworks by Elisabeth Tonnard.
