TEDx Brainport Activity Meter

We live in a data-society; a society where information is generated continuously, stored in unheard quantities, and accessed on the fly in any context. This opens up new, dynamic forms of visualisation, but also new forms of working with data, collaborations between data scientists and designers. At TEDxBrainport two dynamic viualisations are on display, developed during a one-day hackathon at TU/e Industrial Design. The first was made from scratch, the third uses a lite version (this app) of a full app developed based on Bouncers by TU/e Industrial Design. During TEDxBrainport people from TU/e Industrial Design and Bouncers will be available to answer your questions (just look for our stand). The full Bouncers activity wallpaper app can be downloaded for free (Android only).

The app is a live wallpaper. After downloading the app go to home screen and hold the screen for a while. From the menu select Wallpapers > Live Wallpapers > TEDx Brainport and select set wallpaper. Make sure you have internet connection and the app will stream your data to the live visualisation.
