The Russian Peasant Method, is a systematic method for multiplying two numbers that does not require the multiplication table, only the ability to multiply and divide by 2, and to add. It uses a halving and doubling method to multiply two numbers. When halving, disregard any remainder; just put the quotient in the halving column; when the number in the halving column is 1, cross out all rows that have an even number in the halving column.
