Athlone Community Radio is a community based not for profit social

enterprise radio station that began broadcasting in January 2011 to

Athlone town and surrounds on 88.4FM and throughout the world on

athlonecommunityradio.ie and the tunein app.

Licensed by the Broadcasting Authority of Ireland and part funded

by Pobal we broadcast 7 days per week 52 weeks of the year. With

an on air franchise area of over 20,000 people, a small core staff and

over 50 trained volunteers Athlone Community Radio offers a third

model of radio broadcasting in addition to the commercial and public

broadcasting sector in our area, broadcasting content that is relevant to

our community.
