The teachings of this book has helped us, Kay and I, through 7 years of courtship and 8 years of inter-tribal marriage between a Yoruba girl and an Ibo boy that met in an Hausa land. We enjoy our romance and warmth that comes from true and sincere love for each other. Fifteen years after we came together as 'love birds', we still have that 'butterfly' in our stomachs.

About This Book

This book is based on my real life experience of failure in courtship, success in marriage, and the explanation of how the lessons learnt was used to lead our relationship and marriage to a much sweeter and cherished connection that had consistently stood true, even against difficult odds.

The book is practical, intentionally semi-secular in approach, and simply enjoyable to read. It challenges men to be aware of the danger they expose their woman, and by extension, their courtship/marriage to, when they neglect the needs, feelings, and expectations of the woman; and how devastating the consequences can be, even when she acts as if she is alright, but secretly drowning in pain inside; robbing the relationship of true happiness towards each other.

This book shows couples why love is important, but not enough. It exposes a silent destroyer of happy courtships/marriages. That silent destroyer is that IN RELATIONSHIPS, WOMEN HAVE CERTAIN ‘SECRET’ NEEDS THAT DETERMINES THEIR SATISFACTION WITHIN THE RELATIONSHIP, AND MOST MEN DON'T KNOW THIS, OR UNDERSTAND THE NATURE OF THESE NEEDS. This book explains why this fact is often unnoticed by couples, and why it leads to failure in courtships/marriages.

The book acknowledges the man as the head of the relationship, and encourages him to look pass the fear of being taken for granted by the woman and intimately show care and concern for her needs and expectations because the benefits far outweighs what the fear brings. It charges the man to lead his courtship/marriage to a place of tranquillity, endless happiness, and abundant excitement, through the development of a culture of true love, founded upon the love of God, the love for one's self, and a concept defined in the book as the 'art of love'.

Lastly, this book highlights the reason men find it difficult and frustrating to understand their woman most times, and what needs to be done to fix this; so that they can enjoy a much richer and fun-filled marital relationship that will last them for their lifetime of being together.

This Second Edition

The first edition of this book was written as a bachelor. Today, our marriage is proof that the teachings of this book is relevant to be shared as a formula to finding success in courtship/marriage; hence this second edition, after 10 years.

We consider this book a significant part of our lives and we have committed a part of our time to helping people find better ways of living happier in their marital lives.
