YANA is offered as a platform for universities and schools to adapt and extend to their students. This application is purely for capability demonstration.

It has been proven that engaged students with advice at the right time stand a better chance to succeed with their academic goals. Help may be as simple as reminders on class registration, picking the right course, determining graduation requirements or finding out when events are happening on campus.

Universities have advising centers for students to come and consult with advisers. But most consultation time is spent answering basic queries. YANA is powered with IBM Watson's machine learning and AI capabilities that deliver a near human experience in answering basic queries. That way, advisers can more spend time on valued topics.

YANA is a product from ThoughtFocus, a leading business operations and technology company. We are focusing our Higher Education expertise on developing solutions that improve student success. YANA easily integrates with third party data sources so the school can provide its students the right information in real time.

YANA can be implemented out of the box at universities and is also available for customization. The YANA API allows custom app development and integration with existing student engagement solutions.
