Take on 8-bit zombies with a variety of firearms in 21 action packed levels!

ZR2 is an exciting retro 8-bit styled arcade shooter that putsget.u up against thousands of hungry zombies in 21 side scrolling action packed levels.

You may be the last human.. on the planet. So your mission is simple. Kill as many zombies as you possibly can, before they kill you.

To help you in your quest of zombie genocide, there are five different guns scattered throughout the levels. You get your trusty handgun, which is short range, but powerful enough to go through multiple zombies at once. Then there's the handy shotgun. It shoots large short blasts that take out large groups of zombies. Feeling technical? Take out the laser and shoot lasers that not only do the distance, but are extremely accurate and useful when taking out tough zombies across the screen. Got a bunch of weak zombies and wanna

save your good guns for the tough guys? Bust out the carbine and hold the fire button to unload a stream of weak bullets that will take out the weak guys, and

tick off the strong guys. Finally, there is the grenade launcher. It kills anything. I'd keep it for when you have a horde of big freaking zombies running at you.

You move hero with the onscreen joystick. He can move in eight directions, but he will always either face left or right. If you have ammo, you can shoot your gun by tapping on the gun button. When you want to conserve ammo, or don't have any, tap and hold the

run button to run away. As you run, your run meter will get depleted, so you won't be able to run forever. You can refill the run meter by killing zombies. When you have a collection of guns, you can check on how much ammo you have, or change your gun by tapping on the gun icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen. This will bring up your gun menu. Tap on one of the guns to change guns, or tap on the gun icon to hide the gun menu.

Throughout the levels, there will be zombies hiding everywhere. Some will pop out of the ground and some will just be waiting for you, while others will come running at you. While you can try to avoid the zombies, and try to run past them all, remember that the zombies will get faster and smarter the longer they are chasing you. In other words; eventually they're gonna catch you.

Since you're the last person alive, you can't consult a zombie expert with questions regarding the various zombies that you will meet in the game. Here's some information about the zombies that you will observe.

Regular Grey Shirt Zombie: Slow, weak, lazy zombie.

Motivated Brown Shirt Popup Zombie: Motivated to speed up while chasing you.

Bald Orange Shirt Zombie: He's fast from the start.

Crewcut Frankenstein Zombie: He's really fast.

Young Spider Zombie: Don't know how these things were made. But they're strong and start out slow.

Big Freaking White Shirt Zombie: Beefed up, white shirt, means business. He's strong, and really hurts you when he gets a hold of you.

Brown Hat Delivery Zombie: He's fat, but will get fast after he's been chasing you. He can take a couple shots too.

Hiker Zombie: He's tall and slow. But he can take the most hits.

Mature Spider Zombie: Fast, and strong. Kinda mad you killed their Young Spider Zombies.

The game will automatically save your progress every time you beat a level, or die. So, you can come back later and take on new levels without having to stock up on your ammo in the previous levels.

Also, in the game there is the Zombie Mart. Every time you kill a zombie, you get one glorious zombie point. You save zombie points and use them in the Zombie Mart to buy guns and ammo. The Zombie Mart comes in handy when you find yourself stuck on a level and need extra firepower to get past the level.
