Al-Zain Muhammad Ahmed Al-Zain is a Sudanese reciter, born in 1982 AD, North Kordofan State, Umm Dam locality, Al-Buniya village. He started memorizing the Qur’an when he was ten years old, and after two years, may God grant him success in memorizing the entire Qur’an in Khalwat Kharsi in Bara locality, in the year 1996 AD, then he joined Al-Faki Scientific Institute for Tajweed of the Qur’an. In the year 2003 AD, Sheikh Al-Zein memorized the Holy Qur’an at the hands of Sheikh Hassan Hamed and Sheikh Ahmed Babiker “Hamdan.”

Foundation

He was born in Al-Biniya in Umm Dam locality, North Kordofan state, in July 1982 AD, and grew up in a religious home. His grandfather, Al-Faki Al-Zein, after whom he was named, was a jurist, pious, memorizer and virtuous of the Book of God. He studied the initial stage at Al-Baniya Asas School, and after that, he went to study in the seclusion to memorize the Qur’an in a seclusion (Kharsi) in the Bara locality. He began memorizing the Qur’an there when he was ten and a half years old at the hands of Sheikh Hassan Hamid and Sheikh Ahmed Babiker, and completed the Qur’an by memorizing and reciting the Qur’an at the age of 17, according to the narrations of Al-Duri and Hafs. After that, he studied at the Scientific Institute, then joined the University of the Holy Qur’an and graduated from it.

Reading vacation

In the year 2008 AD, he obtained a license from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif at the hands of Sheikh Ahmed Issa Al-Masarawi, the sheikh of all Egyptian readers. Before that, he obtained a reading license from the University of the Holy Qur’an and Islamic Sciences.

He has two recordings of the recited Qur’an, the first recorded in the studio and the second recorded over the radio from Tarawih prayers.

Imam and preacher of Sayyeda Sanhouri Mosque

In the year 2001 AD, through his cousin (Sheikh Al-Hadi Al-Tijjani, the imam of the Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq Mosque in Bahri), he was nominated among several sheikhs to lead the Imam of the Sayyida Sanhouri Mosque and was chosen.

Thousands of worshipers from the three cities of the capital (Khartoum - Khartoum Bahri - Omdurman) go to the mosque to perform Tarawih and Tahajjud prayers to purify the soul with the spiritual chanting of the imam of the mosque, Sheikh Al-Zein Muhammad Ahmed, despite the fact that both prayers are held in most of the capital’s mosques, which exceed a thousand mosques.

The Twenty-fifth National Festival of the Holy Qur’an in 1998, which was held in Gedaref State and won first place in Sudan.

He participated on behalf of Sudan in several countries, including Malaysia and Dubai, and won its third international award in the Holy Quran, while competing with “83” countries.

In 2005, he competed for the King Abdulaziz Award in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and won second place.

In 2006, he participated in the competitions of the Republic of Libya and achieved second place among 66 countries.
