He was born on Tuesday morning, 17 Jumada al-Awwal 1352 AH, corresponding to the 3rd of October 1932 in the Old City of Tripoli. His father was one of the memorizers of the Holy Qur’an, so he was keen that his son be one of his carriers, so he completed his memorization in 1914, when he began memorizing the Qur’an when he was five years old. When Sheikh Mukhtar Houria taught him and studied under him, and as a result of the war conditions at that time, he moved to the city of Amsalata and studied there in the “Great Mosque, Al-Mujabira Mosque” under the hands of Sheikh Al-Hadi... and with the end of the war in 1945, he returned to the city of Tripoli. Sheikh Lam He was satisfied with completing the Qur’an once, despite his mastery of its recitation. He presented it to his sheikh, Mukhtar Houriyeh, in four writings. His sheikh showed an interest in him that he had not shown to anyone else due to his excellence. He honored him for memorizing the Qur’an in a large ceremony, and the students lined up for him in two rows, singing praises and poems until they took him home.

He studied at Ahmed Pasha College, where Sheikh Muhammad Al-Misrati and Sheikh Ali Al-Gharyani taught him the basics of Tajweed and paid attention to its arts.

His works and positions:

Teaching young people the Qur’an and memorizing it in accordance with the words of the Noble Messenger: The best of you is the one who learns and teaches the Qur’an and contributes to creating young people who bear the Book of God. He recorded Qur’an memorization episodes and lessons for the Holy Qur’an Radio, for which a number of mosque students were chosen. He worked as a professor and teacher at the Moulay Muhammad Qur’anic School and the Ibis Mengele Mosque. He is the Chairman of the International Tajweed Jury Committee in Malaysia, and a member of the arbitration committees in many Qur’anic competitions, the most recent of which was the competition held in Malaysia. He also recently chaired the judging committee in the first Al-Fateh International Competition for Memorizing and Tajweed of the Qur’an held in the city of Tripoli, which was established and supervised by the General Authority for Endowments and Zakat Affairs, and his influence remains. Another is that he is one of the pioneers and founders of the Holy Quran Radio.
