His working life

In the year 1410 AH, he was appointed as a student at the Higher Judicial Institute.

In the year 1412 AH, a royal order was issued appointing him as an imam and preacher at the Grand Mosque. Before that, he was a famous imam in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

In the year 1413 AH, he was appointed by royal order as a judge in the Grand Sharia Court in Mecca, then he was relieved from the judiciary based on his repeated requests shortly after his appointment.

In the year 1414 AH, royal approval was issued to assign him to teach at the Grand Mosque. He moved to work as a professor in the Judicial Department at the College of Sharia at Umm Al-Qura University.

He holds a professorship in jurisprudence and its principles, and was previously dean of the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies.

In the year 1432 AH, a decision was issued appointing him as Dean of the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations (established at Umm Al-Qura University), in addition to his work as Dean of the College of Sharia until a dean was appointed, which was done.

He is the founder of two unique colleges at this university, one of which is the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations and the second is the College of Islamic Economics and Finance.

The Sheikh and the Qur’an

Sheikh Saud is considered one of the proficient reciters of the Holy Qur’an. He recites the Qur’an according to the narration of Hafs on the authority of Asim. He memorized the Qur’an in his youth and spent most of his time memorizing and reviewing it.

Its effect

Sheikh Dr. Saud bin Ibrahim Al-Shuraim is one of the influential reciters all over the world. This is observed through his visits to the countries of the world and the accompanying lectures and the gathering of crowds and gathering around him in the Grand Mosque of Mecca and outside, peace be upon him. He is one of the distinctive voices in the whole world. When you hear certain recitations from him, it makes your heart. He trembles with fear of God.
