Studying math is a process of getting acquainted with mathematical concepts, learning how to solve related exercises and practicing many times so that they can be ingrained in your head.
When a baby starts walking, it takes hundreds of thousands times of falling to practice; and it also takes tens or hundreds times of practice to finally know that 1 + 2 = 3 and then 3 + 6 = 9. But many students just study math with eyes in which they only calculate some single digit additions and practice cursorily as if children can already stand up and walk after several falls.
