On 17th November 2016 Mr. Madhavaram Kantha Rao got elected as BJP Medchal District President. Mr. M Kantha Rao who is also popularly known as MKR belongs to Kukatpally and businessman by profession. Since his childhood he is an active member of RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh). Mr. M Kantha Rao started his political journey as a normal BJP karyakarta and then became Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha President (BJYM) Kukatpally, municipality in the year 2000. Later on became BJYM General Secretary in the year 2003 and strengthened the party and organization by uniting and mobilizing youths.

As an executive member of State BJYM & incharge for the Ranga Reddy District constituted Mandal level committees for the first time. Nominated as Jana Chaitanya Kala Mandali State Member in 2004 and became Bharatiya Janata Party Assembly Convener for Kukatpally Assembly. In 2009 Assembly elections Mr. M Kantha Rao contested from Kukatpally Assembly from BJP. In 2010 he became Greater Hyderabad Vice President and in 2013, he was appointed as a ‘General Secretary‘ for Ranga Reddy (Urban) District.

As district president Mr. M Kantha Rao has taken lot of new initiatives in order to re energize the party cadre at all levels be it mandals, divisions and booths in Medchal District. An ardent social worker who has always come forward to help the people be it organizing health camps, blood donation camps, helping eligible candidates to get government subsidies like loans for entrepreneurs and even took lot of initiatives for Swachh Bharat Abhiyan by organizing cleaning drives at various locations in the district. Mr. M Kantha Rao is always a front runner in taking up issues related to the marginalized and poor people irrespective of their caste, language, region and religion be it in rural and urban areas in the District. Mr. M Kantha Rao believes in the philosophy of Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas and always supports merit and ethics in all walks of life and he is committed to continue working for the betterment of people and party.
